I stood on my living room carpet, breathing hard. Cake had already drawn the smiley face and doused it with bug milk, so all I had to do was chant the words. I drew in a deep, shaky breath, and I started. As the words flew from my mouth, I started thinking that there may be a chance me and Marshall may live a nice, happy life together after this is all over. That thought made we want to save Marshall even more. As the portal opened, Cake and I made the deal, and we sealed it with the shake of the hand. My legs were wobbling as I stepped up to the portal, and before I could have any second thoughts, I jumped in. I was blinded by a swirl of bright colors, and before I knew it, I was sitting on a cold, hard boulder. I looked around and saw horrifying creatures everywhere. I shook my head and tried to ignore that gnawing fear in the back of my head. I saw this long, huge, purple thing walking around with a little monkey looking thing riding on it's head. "Hey! Hey you!" I screamed in it's direction. It looked at me though large, slitted eyes, and it slowly walked towards me. "Do you know where I could find the ruler of the Nightosphere?" I asked when the thing was in hearing range. "I'll take you. For a price." The thing said in a harsh, gritty voice. I raised my eyebrows. "What price are you talking about?" I asked skeptically. "Money. Duh." The thing said matter-of-factly. "I don't have any money." I said, frowning. I dug through my pockets and pulled out some lint, and paperclips. "Haha! You have money right there!" The thing said, raising one huge paw to point at my hand. "Oh..um.." I said, holding out my hand and dropping it into the thing's paw.
I still have no idea if the money in the Nightosphere is paperclips or lint, and I don't really care. The thing knelt down and I climbed onto it's back, grasping it's fur. After about twenty minutes, the thing knelt down by a giant gate. I hopped off and thanked it, and then it lumbered off, itching it's ears awkwardly. I turned around to look closely at the gate, but was pushed forward by something behind me. I only had time to glance back and saw another strange, ugly creature followed by about three others. I began to run-walk, and I thought I was going to run into the gate, but it opened just in time. There was a giant gap full of creatures from the Nightosphere, and I was pushed in. I asked the thing next to me what this was all about, and he explained it was the line to talk to, well I couldn't understand the last word, but I'm assuming that is Marshall' mother's name. I tried to look ahead of me, only to be shoved and pushed to where I almost fell down. Although I did see a glimpse of what was ahead of me, and it was pretty depressing. I sighed and almost bailed, except I thought about Marshall. I HAD to save him. No matter what, I had to do everything I could to save my one and only love. So I waited. I didn't start conversation as I usually would, I just waited. And I waited for about two weeks, living off the snacks I kept in my backpack. In those two weeks, I waited in that pit, went through a line with a cloud trying to vaporize people, and now I am standing outside of the royal castle's doors, panting hard, sweat soaking my hair and clothes. I pushed open the heavy doors and looked around uneasily. No one was in the halls, or anywhere else I could see. I walked in an was greeted by a chilling breeze. My steps echoed through the halls and I tried to walk more careful. My heart almost stopped when I saw Marshall's mother at the end of the hall, looking into a room with flashing lights inside. "Okay Marshall, have fun." I heard her small, petite voice say sweetly. Then something that looked like a glass bowl flew at her head from the room, and she caught it gracefully, walking away as if nothing happened. I ran and hid behind a huge pillar, holding my breath, remaining silent. His mother came into view again and was walking painfully slow towards her destination. After she was almost gone around the corner, she stopped walking, sniffed the air, and looked exactly in my direction. "Fionna." She said coldly

Espejo, Cap. 15

Dissolving Ice - Chapter Two
Marshall Lee was intoxicated. His home had Fionna’s scent stapled all over, like little burning reminders that she had been here, that she had been equally excited to see him, that she had the sweetest red candy smell.
The vampire was exhausted with himself and his needs.
When Fionna had stopped speaking to Prince Gumball, she filled the void he had left by hanging out with the idiot Flame Prince and himself, a king. He always had thought Fionna deserved a king, not a little cocky prince.
At first, Fionna’s visits were tame. Marshall had always liked Fionna, so he found himself floating in a little state of heaven. Not that he
